The Dallas Guild - Hello Darkness - My summer soundtrack for a modest
"It feels good, but is it good enough? Take to the men in white coats ... "
This will probably be my personal soundtrack for this summer so far modest. The London band will present on their debut album a very '70s-heavy mix of pop, rock and psychedelic (old fashioned) of electronic music. This all reminded once again of bands like the Beatles, 10CC, Porcupine Tree (yes, I know, are not all from the 70s) and pop in the early Brian Eno (not at the later ambient Eno). And it's damn good to listen to (and does not stick). Produced by the way the whole Paul Stacey, who has the Black Crowes and Oasis could miss a credible patina.
"Hello Darkness" is a very hot tip for anyone who can still remember the days when "pop" is not a dirty word was that it brought with yodeling, half-naked models in combination. Or for those who also want time to be entertained by well-made music simply.
The album is available only for a limited time as a free download. Listen and Download if you like. Definitely a band I'll keep an eye on.
