Radiohead recorded at Third Man, Jack White Study
In full concert of Radiohead at Bonnaroo, as we noted at the time, Thom Yorke dedicated "Super Collider" Jack White for "end up knowing something soon." We have only needed a few days to unravel the mystery, and everything has been thanks to a former member of The White Stripes that said something interesting: Radiohead were recently recorded in Nashville Thirdman study. This restaurant belongs to Third Man Records, the independent label that White founded in 2001 and has released singles and albums for artists / bands like Seasick Steve, Tom Jones, Ted Leo and our beloved First Aid Kit
"I can not say much except that I have neither played nor have produced nothing but Radiohead came to record at Third Man That's all I can confirm!" - Jack White clarified in an interview on BBC Radio 6. And so, automatically, all the rumors faded signaling a possible collaboration between Thom Yorke and the father of "blunderbuss".
Although it has bitten a lot of curiosity. What could be recorded Thom within this study? And above all, when can we enjoy this new material? The answers to these questions are answered hopefully not for long. "The King Of Limbs" has aged at rates bounds in our hands.

Alabama Shakes - Boys & Girls (2012)
Jack White seems to show no sympathy for this mass phenomenon called The Black Keys. However, the former The White Stripes have not had any problems when declaring his love for Alabama Shakes, an American band that is on everyone's lips thanks to the addictive frenzy of sound that is embodied in "Boys & Girls", its gimmicky album debut.
With a race unfit for a group like this nobel, Alabama Shakes have combined correctly soul and swamp rock emerged in the southern United States. The key to safe hits as 'Hold On', 'You Is not Alone' (beautiful theme) and 'Be Mine' lies in the purity and spirit of the quartet emerged from Athens to found his musical flag in the voice of a singer - Brittany Howard - that shines with personality. At times sin to be somewhat linear sound but its formula, which is why, I think that this "Boys & Girls" is just the tip of the iceberg of the greatness of what lies ahead.
Time will tell if I'm wrong about that, but at least the data - and Jack White - AS reaffirm that have that X factor that people loves. As they say themselves: "We are on the way to the promised land." Of course.

Bethany Cosentino and Iggy Pop, scrambled together in the OST of "True Blood"
The musical world we often thousand and one surprises in store. Some are somewhat predictable and others, like the one we present today, we the had we ever imagined. Alucinad with this: the iconic Iggy Pop just work with the singer Bethany Cosentino (Best Coast) in the performance of 'Let's Boot and Rally', devised an entirely new theme for the soundtrack of the television series "True Blood".
As we read through Exclaim.ca this song can be heard both in the radio premiere July 5 (station KCRW) and the episode of Anna Paquin to be televised on the 8th of that month. This unique and morbid, collaboration serves as a perfect sequel of that done a year ago from Neko Case and Nick Cave. Apparently both the iguana and Bethany were delighted to work side by side. While the former said "I've always liked to bite. I suppose that makes me a vampire bite, does that mean I have license to suck? Hello Bethany "Best Coast singer responded with a" passing Iggy "and confirmed that it was an" honor to sing with a legend "and Iggy Pop
The sobs of Sookie, Bill looks lost and right in the center, the voices of Bethany Cosentino and Iggy Pop How could we not want to know who is out of this?

Linkin Park - Living Things (2012)
Reviewing the history of the blog I have seen it's been almost two years since I made the review of "A Thousand Suns" by Linkin Park. I remember that time cost me a lot to write that article, the shift in the trajectory of this training was so radical that I was a good effort to try to find the right words to define what that Linkin Park had become in ten long years. Today, of that debut entitled "Hybrid Theory" return to the fray with "Living Things", an album that from the beginning was appointed as a new cardinal point in the trail marked by Californians.
In an interview with Kerrang! Bennington said that this record was going into "familiar territory". That meant a step back to the roots of the group and the truth is that after listening to repeatedly, you have to agree. If by "A Thousand Suns" Linkin Park went on a tangent to the experimental point in his long career, with "Living Things" have managed to offset the ups and downs of the compact through the communion between ciberrockero spirit of yesteryear with the base e they demonstrated in the past two years. Here we see a more restrained LP, but in turn more accurate and with a tighter range of songs and varied. Much of the blame lies Shinoda / Rick Rubin, a coalition that has been behind the last three full-length releases.
There are songs for everyone. The most ardent fans of Linkin Park and again honor the frenzy of 'Burn It Down', 'I'll Be Gone' and 'In My Remains', in my opinion the best piece rock that have carved the Agoura Hills from that 'What I've Done' which went on sale in the first step in changing the last Linkin Park ("Minutes To Midnight"). From this we find a song a hair lack of pace ('Until It Breaks') but also two tracks that seem to work with a pleasantly melodic point similar ('untraveled Roads', 'Skin To Bone'), a piece that has a pop forcefulness very much reminiscent of the last record of modernohardcoretas Sleigh Bells ('Greed Lies Misery') and the surprise of the LP: a brief but intense 'Victimized' which is the definitive punk twist the group began to make his own way in the late 90's.
"A Thousand Suns" endorsement at the time the attempt to get to the end of their creativity. With "Living Things", despite losing a hair of freshness, have managed to create a compact where practically all the pieces are fun and cohesion. Linkin Park's intention has always been to enjoy fast rhythms and visceral and this LP definitely have succeeded. Let yourself of stereotypes and preconceptions and enjoy this record as best they deserve. Never be the "Hybrid Theory" and that, just that it is the best thing that could happen to Linkin Park right now. Where Is The Limit? (Where is the line?)
