Angus Stone, California forests and lo-fi images in the video for 'Broken Brights'

In the past two years, thanks to the wonders of our smartphones, it has become fashionable to put the lo-fi visual style reminiscent of cameras / video old. Such has been the effect of this new "revival" that Angus Stone has just come to the net a video clip (the "Broken Brights," the first single from her debut solo album) which was recorded entirely by him and his girlfriend Isabel Lucas, an old video camera.

"We plan a trip - to California's Redwood Forest - where we met and went there to where we travel together for the first time" - said Angus. "I take a camera with me and capture something of the love that came down the road. We had no idea whether the device would work or not. All we could confirm was that we apretábamos the record button but little else ... so it was an amazing thing to remove the goods from the camera and see who had registered those romantic moments in the woods. "

The roll Hipstamatic is very fashionable. Perhaps too. But I must confess I still feel some degree of excitement to watch videos like this so euphuistic us today that the brother of Julia Stone. And you know best of all? I am convinced that some of you will like it too. That's the magic of retro, and Angus has captured the essence throughout pure and authentic.
